I was a stay-at-home mom for the first 10 years of my mama life. My husband and I have three girls and being home with them was the best and hardest thing I’ve ever done. Before we had kids, I obtained my Master’s degree and worked as an accountant. When I decided to go back to work, I knew that it would not be as an accountant. I was an athlete my whole life but had lost my fitness groove as I poured everything into being the best mama I could be. Eventually, I found my way back to fitness and remembered how life-changing it is to take care of yourself, both physically and mentally. Two years ago, when we moved to Mullica Hill, our youngest started preschool and I started thinking about what I wanted to do with myself. I love all things fitness, getting to know new people and helping people, so I decided pretty quickly I wanted to help people on their fitness journeys feel amazing physically and mentally.
I love all kinds of movement, but my favorite things are yoga and functional fitness. Growing up as an athlete, I really enjoy working out in a small group setting and having a coach. I wanted to be able to do that for other people. I completed my 200-hour yoga teaching certification and started teaching yoga. I also wanted to work one-on-one or in small groups with clients to improve their fitness and build strength so I then obtained my personal training certification. I started working at Kennedy in early 2019.
I believe in meeting my clients where they are in terms of their fitness and building a program to help them achieve their goals. Seeing progress in my clients makes my day! I enjoy incorporating a variety of movements into my workouts to keep my clients challenged and progressing. My hope with every session is that my client finishes their workout feeling energized and proud of what they accomplished that day. For me, working out not only makes me feel physically strong and energized, but also mentally clear and just happy. I love helping people rediscover that feeling!
